Welcome to Tempo
​Tempo is a specialist running shop in Eastbourne, East Sussex. Customers will be met first and foremost by running enthusiasts. Customers can receive free video gait analysis using our slow motion analysis software. Our experts will then select a range of shoes based on the findings of the gait analysis and by also establishing the needs of the customer. The shoes can then be tested out using the in-store treadmill. We can also provide advice on; training programs, running drills and strengthening exercises.

Tempo Tuesdays Run Sessions

Every Tuesday, the Tempo run shop hold a  run session which starts at the Wish Tower car park at 6:30pm. Runners of all abilities and experience are welcome, the session can be adapted to meet individual needs. Try out the sessions for a couple of weeks and if you enjoy them, all we ask is that you pay £10 for a year (This covers the insurance for participating). The run session is held in conjunction with the Tri Tempo club, for more info on the triathlon club, please click here.

An overview of Tempo's founders

Wes Mechen and Faye McClelland opened the shop in January 2014 and have gone onto start the Tempo Tri club in Eastboune. Wes has enjoyed running from a young age and favours the half marathon distance. In 2015, Wes was selected for the Great Britain middle distance age group triathlon squad and finished 14th. 

Faye McClelland is an athlete with a wealth of international experience and success. Faye is the four time world champion in paratriathlon and went onto compete in the 2016 Paralympic Games, finishing a brilliant 4th in the PT4 triathlon.
